Freightliner trucks are predominantly powered by Detroit Diesel engines — the DD13 (12.8L), DD15 (14.8L), and DD16 (15.6L). We carry Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL) software and can perform full engine diagnostics including fault code reading, live data streaming, DPF regeneration commands, injector calibration, and ECM parameter adjustments. For Freightliners equipped with Cummins power (ISX, X15, ISB, ISL), we run Cummins INSITE for complete engine coverage. The DT12 automated manual transmission is standard on most Cascadias — we diagnose clutch wear, shift quality, and actuator faults using DDDL's integrated transmission module.

Cascadia aftertreatment derates
The single most common call we get. The one-box aftertreatment system on newer Cascadias bundles the DPF, DOC, SCR, and DEF dosing into a single unit. NOx sensor failures, DEF quality sensor faults, and SCR efficiency codes (SPN 4364) will derate the truck to 5 mph if ignored. We diagnose the root cause on-site rather than blindly replacing sensors.
DT12 transmission shudder and fault codes
The DT12 automated transmission develops clutch wear, shift actuator problems, and input speed sensor failures. Florida's stop-and-go traffic accelerates clutch wear on trucks that were spec'd for highway use. We read transmission data, check clutch teach points, and perform resets when needed.
Detroit DD15 oil leaks
The rear main seal, front cover gasket, and oil cooler housing on the DD15 are known leak points. Florida heat makes gasket materials deteriorate faster. We pinpoint the leak source and make the repair without pulling the engine.
Cascadia multiplexing and electrical faults
The Cascadia uses a complex body controller and SAM (Signal Acquisition Module) system. Corroded connectors — a constant problem in Florida's salt air and humidity — cause phantom warnings, inoperative lights, and HVAC failures. We trace and repair wiring issues that other shops can't find.
Cooling system failures
