We're Diesel Mechanics, Not a Tow Truck

Search "truck roadside assistance" and you'll find page after page of towing companies. They can't fix your truck — they just move it. We're the opposite. Albert's Road Service sends a certified diesel mechanic who repairs your semi on the spot.

What a Tow Truck Does

  • Moves your problem to a shop — doesn't fix it
  • Tow bill: $500–$2,000+ for a loaded Class 8
  • Then shop labor on top of that — you're paying twice
  • Tow + shop queue + repair = 1–3 days off the road
  • Your load sits. Detention fees pile up. Revenue gone.

What Albert's Does

  • Fixes your truck on-site — we ARE the shop
  • Most roadside repairs: $250–$500 at your location
  • One bill — diagnosis, parts, and labor included
  • Back rolling in 1–3 hours, not 1–3 days
  • Your load stays on your truck. Schedule intact.

You searched for "roadside assistance" — that means you want ASSISTANCE, not a ride to the shop.

Albert's brings the shop to you. 90% of breakdowns fixed on the shoulder — no tow needed.

Response Time Comparison

Not all roadside help is the same. Here's what actually happens when you call each type of provider with a broken semi.

Provider Response Time What Happens Your Downtime
Albert's Road Service 30–45 min Diesel mechanic fixes it on-site 1–3 hours
Towing Company 1–2 hours Tows to a shop, then wait in queue 1–3 DAYS
Roadside Club (AAA, etc.) 2–4 hours Basic service only — no real diesel repair Varies
Call a Shop & Wait ??? They say "bring it in" — you still can't move 1–3 DAYS

Stay Safe

What to Do While Waiting for Roadside Help

Broken down on a highway shoulder is one of the most dangerous places for a truck driver. Follow these steps to stay safe until we arrive.

1

Stay in the Cab if on a Highway Shoulder

The cab is the safest position. Stay buckled, keep your seatbelt on, and avoid standing between your truck and the guardrail.

2

Activate All Lights

Turn on your hazard flashers, marker lights, and dome light. Make your truck as visible as possible, especially at night.

3

Place Triangles or Flares

FMCSA requires reflective triangles at 10 feet, 100 feet, and 200 feet behind your truck. If you have flares, use those too.

4

Call 561-475-8052 with Your Location

Give us your mile marker, exit number, or nearest cross street. We dispatch immediately and give you an honest ETA.

5

Do NOT Attempt Repairs in Live Traffic

Never work on your truck in a travel lane. If you can't safely pull fully off the road, stay in the cab and wait for professional help.

6

If You Smell Fuel or See Smoke — Move Away

Exit the cab and move at least 100 feet away from the truck. Call 911 first, then call us. Safety always comes first.

Common Questions

Semi Truck Roadside Assistance FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What's your response time for semi truck roadside calls on I-95?
Within the West Palm Beach area, 30–45 minutes. For I-95 calls between Jupiter and Boca Raton, we're typically on scene within 45 minutes. Call 561-475-8052 and we'll give you a specific ETA based on your mile marker.
Can you help if my semi is broken down on the Florida Turnpike?
Yes. We regularly respond to calls on Florida's Turnpike and coordinate with road rangers and highway patrol as needed to access your location safely. Give us your mile marker and we roll immediately.
What if you can't fix my semi roadside?
If a full repair isn't possible on the road, we'll give you an accurate diagnosis and help you decide the best course of action — a temporary fix to reach a safe location, coordinating a tow, or arranging parts for a follow-up repair. You won't pay for a diagnosis and get left hanging.
Do you provide roadside assistance for reefer semi trucks?
Yes. Reefer emergencies are time-sensitive — your cargo is on the line. We prioritize reefer calls and can diagnose and repair many refrigeration issues on-site. If the load is at risk, we can also help coordinate a reefer transfer.
What payment methods do you accept for roadside service?
We accept all major credit cards, fleet cards (Comdata, EFS, T-Check), and can invoice established fleet accounts. Payment details are handled when we arrive — our first priority is getting your semi fixed and moving.
Do you cover Broward County for semi truck roadside calls?
Yes. We cover all of Broward County including Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, and the I-95/I-595 corridor. Response time in Broward is typically 35–55 minutes from our West Palm Beach base. Call 561-475-8052.
Can you help with a DPF derate on the highway?
Absolutely. Engine derates are one of our most common highway calls. We bring factory-level diagnostic equipment — Cummins INSITE, Detroit DDDL, PACCAR Davie4 — read the fault codes, perform forced DPF regenerations, and resolve aftertreatment issues on-site.
How much does semi truck roadside assistance cost?
Service call fee is $100 (covers dispatch and on-site diagnosis). Labor is $175/hour. Most common roadside fixes — battery jump, air leak, tire change — run $150–$400. DPF regen or fuel system work runs $400–$700. We quote before we start. No surprises.
